Dorothy Paul, Director

Dorothy Paul serves as the Program Director at PCTE, where she embodies a stalwart presence within the Montessori community. With a comprehensive portfolio overseeing admissions, program offerings, course schedules, instructor and student relations, and the operational facets of the training center, Dorothy brings an unparalleled dedication to her role.

Having commenced her journey at Princeton Montessori School in 2018, Dorothy's roots in Montessori education run deep, marked by an unwavering passion and nurturing ethos. Since 1987, her Montessori journey has has involved a tapestry of experiences, spanning both public and private educational landscapes. Noteworthy roles include her tenure as Education Director at Duhovka Preschool in Prague, Czech Republic, and at the Amelia Island Montessori School in Florida.

Dorothy's influence extends beyond the classroom as she has lent her expertise to teacher education, shaping pedagogy, curriculum, and program design. Notably, she spearheaded the development of the Duhovka Montessori Teacher Education Program (DMTEP) in Prague, Czech Republic, where she held the esteemed position of Program Director.

Active participation in the Montessori community underscores Dorothy's commitment, exemplified by her recent stint on the AMS Board of Directors and continued involvement in national and international initiatives. Her contributions extend to MACTE verification teams, where she plays a pivotal role in upholding Montessori educational standards both in the US and Europe.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Dorothy finds joy in family moments with her grown children and embraces her passion for sports. She holds an impressive array of qualifications, including an Education Specialist (EdS) degree and a Masters of Science from Barry University, complemented by credentials from the American Montessori Society (AMS) and a Professional Educator's Certificate from the State of Florida Department of Education.

Dorothy's commitment to advancing Montessori education resonates through her workshops, presentations, and engagements at esteemed events such as AMS and Montessori Europe Annual Conferences, solidifying her stature as a leading figure in the Montessori community, both domestically and abroad.
